This is accomplished by requiring individuals to be properly
qualified before a license is issued.
We receive, investigate and resolve complaints against licensees.
We use the services of the Attorney General's Office to follow
through on complaints that the board cannot settle.
We publicize our phone listing and location with the Charleston area
phone directory even if we are located in another City.
We hold open meetings and give notice of the date, time and
location. This is published with the Secretary of State's Office at
least one week in advance.
We provide information on request to the extent required by law.
We adopt rules in the manner that is required by all agencies.
We maintain records and file reports required by the State code.
We set fees and make disbursements as specified by State law.
